Our client is a leading international venture capital firm with strong focus on deep-tech investments.

Looking for a dynamic Investment professional to join the team with focus on the Technology Transfer Fund.

Key for the position: Strong passion for venture capital, with a particular emphasis on deep-tech startups.

Keen on playing a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities, as well as fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including academia, industry partners, and incubators/accelerators.

Responsibilities: - Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and assess investment opportunities in deep-tech startups, with a focus on technologies emerging from Politecnico di Milano and other Italian research institutions.

- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including market analysis, financial modeling, and technology assessment.

- Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the investment portfolio, providing strategic guidance and support to portfolio companies to ensure growth and successful exits.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with academic institutions, industry partners, government agencies, incubators/accelerators and other VC firms to facilitate the flow of high-quality deal opportunities and support the commercialization of innovative technologies.

- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the Technology Transfer fund, including setting investment criteria, identifying key sectors of interest, and developing long-term plans for fund growth and impact.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.

- Educational Background: Advanced degree in engineering/science is required, ideally combined with an MBA or equivalent business degree - 6 years of professional experience, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or a related field.

Alternatively, experience in Management Consulting/Banking combined with top management position in tech startup/scale-up - Strong understanding and interest in deep-tech e. g, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, robotics, cybersecurity and others.

- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess complex technologies and business models.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Languages: Proficiency in Italian and English is required.
