Policlinico San Donato Hospital, part of Gruppo San Donato (GSD), is a research hospital with more than 100 researchers engaged in all the activities from basic to clinical translational research.

The Technology Transfer Office of Policlinico San Donato Hospital (PSD) works in synergy with the Business Development and Technology Transfer Offices of San Raffaele Hospital and Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio Hospital, which are involved in all technology transfer activities, intellectual property protection and valorization and start up creation with an outstanding track record of industry alliances, licenses and company generation.

At PSD you will find a multidisciplinary entrepreneurial environment - encompassing all stages of development from the laboratory to the clinic - fully committed to innovation and to transforming scientific results into solutions for patients.

We are looking for a strongly motivated skilled individual to join the group.

Your role will be in protecting the Intellectual Property of the research and clinical projects of PSD and promoting and executing valorization of our portfolio of patented projects, with the goal of generating industry partnerships or start-ups to advance the development of Policlinico San Donato's innovative products and technologies in fields ranging from biotech to medical devices and medical software.

This role entails a full comprehension of the scientific projects and the ability to develop business cases around such projects.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Evaluating invention disclosures, assessing patentability and liaising with patent attorneys;

- evaluating business potential of patented technologies;

- preparing "investor ready" dossiers for company licensing and VC investments;

- identifying potential partners among Italian and worldwide biotech, pharma and medtech companies;

- marketing PSD technologies to potential licensees;

- addressing negotiation with industry partners to completion of relevant agreements (license, joint venture, etc. )

and executing preliminary contracts (MTA, NDA);

- support the Head of Unit and colleagues in institutional projects.

**Must-have requirements** for the position**:

- preferred: at least 23 years of experience in technology transfer, biotech/pharma/med-tech business development or strategic consultancy firms;

- excellent communication skills;

- excellent spoken and written English;

- disposition to address complex, challenging and varied projects with personal determination and a strong team work approach.
