Technical & Process Safety Engineer

As Technical & Process Safety Engineer, you will join our Department/Function of Technical Safety and Environmental, in the business line Energy Carriers, conducting the following activities:Support and cooperate with the Project Technical Safety Lead in the execution of the project activities, especially during the engineering phase of the project, such as:Hazid, Hazop analysis and related follow up processLOPA, Bow-Tie AnalysisFunctional Safety Lifecycle (SIL allocation, calculation, SRS, Verification) in compliance with international standard IEC 61508 / 61511Project Technical Integrity Lifecycle (MAE identification, SECE selection/identification, Performance Standard identification)Human Factor EngineeringAlarm Management / RationalizationHazardous Area Classification (HAC)Passive Fire Protection including cold spill/splash (PFP&SCP) (prescriptive and risk based approach)Fire and Gas Detection (including F&G Mapping Studies)Escape Routes, and safety equipment etc.
for different plant typologies, considering International and National standards, with specific focus on numerical solutions and relevant reports and layouts preparation. Interface with Clients and other Project Partner on technical issuesEvaluate suppliers and sub-contractor bids involved in the Technical and Process Safety activitiesManage engineering Sub-Contractors and Suppliers. Manage own tasks and activities within the agreed schedule and budget. Contribute to the development and to the continuous technical improvement of internal work methodologies and procedures. QUALIFICATION: Master's or Bachelor's degree in technical disciplinesKNOWLEDGE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE: Advanced knowledge of English language.
Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent report writing.
Proficiency in an additional foreign language is a plus. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years' proven experience within the Oil & Gas Industry, ideally both for onshore and offshore fields, in the same or similar positions with International Main Contracting & Engineering Companies or Consultancy Companies on Technical & Process Safety matters. IT SKILLS:Focus on Risk Analysis software tools and familiarity with PC software MS OfficeAdvanced skills in the most common MS Office applications, Office365 suite, Autocad and MicrostationSOFT SKILLS:Self-motivated thinker able to work both independently and as a part of a larger team. Confident in presenting in front of clients (existing or new). Good communication, problem-solving and decision making skillsStrong attitude to collaborate with colleagues also by means of IT / digital toolsAbility to manage teams during workshops and review meetingsNICE TO HAVE: Certification on Hazid/Hazop/LOPA analysis training course.
International Certificate on Functional Safety Certification Program (FSCP): Engineer. TRAVEL: Availability for business trips/missions. LOCATION: Milan (Italy). Contract type: Permanent, salary package commensurate with the level of experience.
