Summer Camp Technical Director Overview

As the Technical Director at Perry-Mansfield School and Camp in Steamboat Springs, CO, you will oversee multiple theatre/dance shows in two spaces.

You will attend weekly production meetings.

Previous experience as a Technical Director and supervising a crew is required.

Must have the ability to be flexible and have strong communication skills.

Responsibilities Attending all required rehearsalsAttend weekly production meetingsOrganize lumber and supply ordersSupervise the building of sets for four theater showsResponsible for purchasing equipment for showsSupervise set installation and strike for four showsOther duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience as a Technical DirectorExperience supervising a crewAbility to be flexibleStrong communication skillsPhysical Requirements Must be able to stand for long periodsMust be able to walk for long periodsMust be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 poundsMust be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periodsHours The hours will vary during camp, depending on the show schedule.

Late nights and weekends will be required.

Compensation This seasonal position runs from June 4 – August 4 (starting and end dates are flexible).

Compensation is $800 – $1, 000 per week DOE.

Room and board are available for this position.
