RINA is currently recruiting for a Technical Expert - Marine Consulting to join its office in Genova within the Marine Consulting Division.

Mission

This role as a Marine Senior Technical Expert at RINA Consulting S. p. A. is crucial in developing studies related to Ship Stability, preparing feasibility studies, developing related documents, and resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements.

In this role, you will ensure client requirements and applicable standards are met.

The projects you will be involved in could encompass new building, conversion, and existing vessels.

Key Accountabilities

Develop or update NAPA Software Models to enhance ship stability calculations and simulationsPrepare Full Intact and Damage Stability Booklets to ensure compliance with safety regulationsPerform Longitudinal Strength Calculations of Cargo Holds to optimize vessel structural integrityAssist clients during the design and construction phases, offering expert guidance and support on stability issuesResolve issues related to conflicting design requirements and standards to deliver high-quality solutionsReview project deliverables to guarantee technical excellence and adherence to project goalsAssess complex stability problems for internal/external clients and propose effective solutionsOversee and manage day-to-day project elements to ensure timely and successful project completionConduct stability assessments and provide specialist advice for service delivery, research, or development work within agreed parametersTake ownership and responsibility for the financial progress of assigned tasks to meet project objectivesApply project management concepts to manage projects effectively and contribute to project successUnderstand and apply project management principles to provide valuable feedback to the project managerManage projects assigned by applying project management concepts and techniques to drive project efficiencyEducation

Master's Degree in Naval Engineering

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of NAPA software or equivalent to efficiently carry out ship stability analysesBroad knowledge of Class rules and statutory regulations, particularly International Load line Convention and SOLAS, to ensure regulatory complianceLanguage skills: fluency in Italian and English to effectively communicate with stakeholders and clientsCompetencies
