Technical Manager
Technical Manager Home Care & Industrial Cleaning Italy and Greece Role : The Technical Manager, reporting to the Home Care & Industrial Cleaning Technical Sales Manager, is the resource of the Commercial Area, who, in coordination with its Key Account Manager (KAM) of reference, follows, in terms of sales, promotion, maintenance and development, the customers of its area for the sector, as regards the purely technical aspects of the sale itself.
Main responsibilities and tasks Prepare technical presentations on Home Care & Industrial Cleaning for the customer's R&D department.
Support the customer's R&D department at a technical level providing formulation recommendations.
Visit customers on high-profitability projects, create relationships and reliability on a technical level.
Follow the sales cycle (proposals, samples, visits, etc. )
Develop new perspectives proactively and monitor competitive activity.
Representing suppliers and exchanging market information effectively between the main trading partners, maintaining compliance standards Constantly monitor the market by mapping technological innovations, regulatory updates and reference legislation Keep the CRM system up to date, generating "Target Business Opportunities" that ensure growth.
Establish new relationships and maintain existing relationships with customers.
Outline a clear picture of the market: customers, applications and competitors.
Follow the market (products, opportunities, competitors, new suppliers, new customers, etc. ).
Research and identify potential customers for products or services.
Visit potential and existing customers.
Prepare presentations explaining products to customers and prospects.
Manage and interpret customer needs.
Provide after-sales support and technical services, resolving customer issues.
Provide technical support to the sales team on specific product lines or projects.
Provide technical documentation for products and prepare technical webinars for customers.
Support the client's R&D department on a technical level.
Collaborate with other sales team members and other technical experts.
Support marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing or technical events.
Provide pre-sales technical support and product training.
Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or learn about industry developments.
Keep abreast of industry news and trends, products, competitors, existing and emerging technologies, and latest product line developments.
Develop direct and close relationships with customers' technical teams to promote and develop product portfolio.
Proactively develop new prospects and monitor competitive activity.
Participate in supplier training courses and seminars to improve and update personal product understanding and application experience.
Ensure that the perspective of customers and suppliers is a driving force behind business decisions and activities.
Anticipate and effectively meet the needs of customers and suppliers, taking responsibility for their satisfaction and retention.
Compliance to all Company procedures (quality, safety and environmental ones), and legislative requirements.
Requirements: Minimum education: Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology or similar.
Knowledge of the practical application of formulation in the Home Care & Industrial Cleaning ( five years minimum).
Knowledge of the application of principles, techniques, procedures and equipment for the design and production of various HIC products.
Ability to travel throughout Italy and Greece Knowledge of the market and reference raw materials.
Customer oriented with ability to see the customer's needs and expectations.
Structured way of working with sense of ownership and collaboration Strong communication skills, both oral and written, necessary to communicate effectively technical terms inside and outside the organization.
Highly goal oriented and highly motivated with desire to get involved with curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness and ability to work in a local and international team.
English fluent both written and spoken.
