As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for an SME/Technical Manager for our pemises in

**Cabiate (CO- hybrid).

**Consumer and Retail Services** laboratories in Cabiate, Italy, offer bespoke services to evaluate safety and quality of your products, including:

- Toys & Childcare Articles

- Apparel & Textile, Footwear and Leather Articles

- Playground Equipment

- Premiums and licensed goods

- Food Contact Materials

- Food & Beverage

- Cosmetics

- Jewelry

ResponsabilitÃ:

- Are you a Chemical or Material Science Engineer with knowledge of inorganic materials/consumer goods testing for safety purposes?

- Would you like to utilise your technical knowledge and function as a Subject Matter Expert liaising with both our clients and colleagues in the testing Labs?

- Would you like to work with a truly international team ensuring our Clients' products are safe for Consumers and ultimately completing work that matters?

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** of the SME/Technical Manager:

- Partner with Quality and Operations functions to drive laboratory/field consistency.

Contributes to the development of processes and procedures required to achieve and maintain necessary accreditations and certifications with accreditation bodies and notification authorities.

- Supports strategic selling opportunities by leveraging industry relationships, participates in Technical Commitees and sector events representing UL and providing advice to influence industry approaches and elevate UL's thought leadership in the market

- Conducts webinars, presentations, technical trainingsand workshops in region for internal and external stakeholders

- Leads special projects related to laboratory/field alignment, continuous improvement, as well as process and service innovation

Qualifiche:

- University Degree in Chemistry or Material Science or related discipline with previous laboraory experience performing tests and procedures using the analytical technique based on liquid chromatography

- Strong technical understanding of product testing applicable industry codes, regulations, standards, service/product lines and target markets

- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, to interact with all levels of the organization, and to present and facilitate discussions on harmful materials findings at both supply chain and manufacturing levels

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex, and technical projects, to coach and mentor team members, to coordinate and function as an SME
