Key job responsibilities: Create and release purchase orders with the appropriate vendors and track them, signing off when the hardware arrives and logging the information in their records. Engage in negotiations with vendors and suppliers. Manage complex deals that may involve creative contract terms to achieve desired results. Manage multiple complex deals simultaneously. Perform analysis of monthly spending of specific cost centers to identify areas for improvement. Identify ways to reduce spending via some degree of controllership. Work with senior management of cost centers to understand and implement the Amazon Spending and Transaction Policy. Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways. A day in the life: You start your day reviewing multiple project initiatives and communicating updates. You negotiate with suppliers, using data-driven arguments to influence decisions. Leading global team meetings, you strategize on scaling initiatives across diverse markets. Your role demands swift reprioritization to address urgent customer needs. Throughout the day, you research industry trends, applying insights to ongoing projects. You chair stakeholder meetings, influencing key decision-makers on new strategic directions. Mentoring junior team members is part of your responsibilities. At day's end, you review progress, make autonomous decisions, and set future priorities. This role requires you to balance collaboration with independent work, juggling multiple projects while maintaining high standards of business judgment in a fast-paced environment. About the team: At Amazon TSI (Technology Sourcing and Infrastructure) Procurement, we categorize and select the best suppliers by working with external companies to gather, analyze and make recommendations to the business. At the same time, we provide outstanding customer support to internal customers and act as a liaison, resolving any issues that may arise with a contract or supplier. Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2, 500 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign-on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in the USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in a medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, and meal voucher card, career development. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, IT, or equivalent. - Industry experience in a direct procurement function, including supplier relationship management. - Experience in performing vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases, and bidding. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Proficiency with e-sourcing tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, SQL, or other data management systems. - Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, IT, or equivalent. - Demonstrated ability as a Project Manager who can prioritize workload and manage complex projects within cost and schedule. - Understanding of basic IT hardware and software troubleshooting. - Developing market intelligence to communicate across the organization. - Proven ability to implement category strategies globally. - Proven ability to deep dive and develop innovative ideas for process challenges.
