Technical Product Owner
The Technical Product Owner (PO) operates within an Agile environment, continuously assessing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks. The Technical PO coordinates a squad of approximately 7 IT professionals and, together with team members, is responsible for the squad's objectives. The squad collaborates with product Tribes to enhance user experience and ensure compliance with local legislation and regulations. The Technical PO is responsible for setting priorities, managing internal and external stakeholders, resolving impediments, and supporting squad members in their daily activities. Additionally, the Technical PO is accountable for managing and delivering internal reports, optimizing squad performance, and aligning with the bank's strategic goals. This role requires exceptional leadership and communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, a data-driven approach, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure under tight deadlines.
This position also demands the ability to work collaboratively within multi-functional teams and across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the squad's efforts in alignment with business and technical goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business value, market context, and customer challenges. Document requirements for upcoming product/process releases, ensuring that needs are met while clearly communicating progress and status. Build, prioritize, monitor, and maintain the squad backlog, prioritizing stories for each sprint. Accelerate decision-making for the squad by ensuring features/user stories are supported by adequate data and analysis. Utilize Agile methodologies to identify, escalate, and remove impediments faced by the squad. Work closely with the team to create new and improved features for processes managed by the squad. Define and track product and process metrics/KPIs across the entire end-to-end value chain. Manage IT Risk and IT Security for assets allocated to the squad. Required Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in Product Management/Project Management within complex IT projects. Excellent data analysis skills. Proficiency in Italian and English. Strong verbal and written communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences at various organizational levels (e. g. , executives, management, individual contributors). Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and manage product/process requirements and backlog. Familiarity with tools, techniques, and principles used in Lean-Agile development. Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for new content. Strong risk awareness. Results-oriented with a commitment to excellence in execution. Working conditions:
