YOUR TEAM You'd be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where control experts, software, mechanical and electrical engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research.
The Dynamic Legged Systems Research line (web: ) is coordinated by Claudio Semini, who has extensive experience in the design and control of robots applied to Disaster Response, Agriculture and Space Exploration.
The team's research focuses on locomotion over rough terrain, foothold planning, whole-body control, perception, loco-manipulation, machine learning, as well as the development of the next generation quadruped robots.
For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated and proactive engineer to play the important role of project manager and support for the software and mechatronics development of quadruped robots for the DLS lab centered around the INAIL Robot Teleoperativo 3 project initially and for a new space robotics project later.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be to: Project Management of the INAIL Robot Teleoperativo RT3 project Integrate with the team of researchers and technicians supporting day to day R&D.
Organize field trials and demos in the lab Interface to administrative offices Assist in the creation of dissemination materials, such as videos, posts, etc.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor or Master's degree in Informatics, Electrical/Electronics, Robotics, Management, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering Excellent organizational and management skills Excellent communication skills and ability/willingness to integrate within a multidisciplinary international research group Hands-on, and Can-do attitude Excellent knowledge of MS Office Experience with project management software tools Good command in spoken and written English ADDITIONAL SKILLS experience with mechanical systems and assembly, robot hardware, field testing of prototypes, space robotics, SAP, basic understanding of supply chain, agile and scrum principles.
