We are currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer for our Engineering Centre in Fano (PU).
The ideal candidate must have experience of over 10 years in the execution of the engineering activities of its discipline ensuring compliance with design criteria and international standards as well as good engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide support, advice, and recommendation to Project Managers/ Project Director in respect of the Process Safety and Risk Assessment requirements and prepare project-specific Process Safety and Risk Management Plan for the project. Manage the Client for TSE discipline. Attendance to Project meetings if support is required (for example: Engineering Coordination Meetings, Meeting with Client or Supplier, Design review, HAZID/HAZOP/SIL workshop, 3D Model Review). Made directly or coordinate the execution Fire Fighting Calculations. Main documents to prepare (directly or with the support of external company): HSE Design Criteria, Fire Protection Criteria and Specifications, P&IDs (fire fighting), Hazardous Area Classification Plan, F&G System, Fire Fighting & Safety Equipment, Escape Routes & Safety Signals Layouts, Flare Radiation, Noise Emission and Gas Dispersion Study, Fire Fighting Equipment Material Requisition and Technical Bid Evaluation, HAZID/HAZOP/SIL Reports and Follow-up, QRA, FERA, EERA, RAM Analysis, Noise Study. Ensure deliverables quality in terms of technical content, compliance with design criteria, international standards as well as good engineering practices. Ensure interdisciplinary technical information availability as required by other disciplines. Check the engineering deliverables for quality and compliance to all Process Safety requirements, mark-up any comment or revision on these documents and ensure that the changes are included and completed on the latest copies of all affected documents. Ensure technical support to 3D Model implementation. Vendor follow-up and technical support in this activity if required by other disciplines. Preparation of offer and technical support to other disciplines during the bidding phase. Requirements:
Master's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering. Technical Safety Engineer with a minimum stay of 10 years in the role being able to preside individually the full life cycle of an EPC project. Consolidated knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of Technical Safety and accurate competences of techniques and tools. Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, planning and organizing ability, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, leadership qualities, and efficient team management skills, adaptability, and stress tolerance. Familiar with a range of proprietary software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint), AutoCAD, PIPENET, PHAST, and FRED and familiar with relevant international codes and standards including PTS, DEP, API, ISO, NORSOK, NFPA, DNV, ABS, and others.
