We are now looking for a colleague to join our team in Milan, Italy as a Technical Sales Engineer Thermal Management. Position Summary The focus of this role is to provide comprehensive technical support for Thermal Management, partnering with clients, consultants, and the Sales team. You will assist Sales with pre-sales support, helping to prepare proposals, quotes, tenders and develop strategic business relationships in the country. What you'll do? As a key team player, your responsibilities include: Develop strategic business relationships while working on projects, attending events, delivering training/webinars, and proactively engaging with clients; Review RFQs and identify customer requirements/specifications; Provide pre-sales technical support of product specifications; Standard product selection based on customer requirements; Design new Thermal Management solutions where standard products do not fit; Define feasibility and costs of solutions/products; Integration and coordination with internal departments and/or external suppliers; Request SFAs to Engineering linked to thermal management products and clients; Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support when building proposals, quotes, and tenders; Provide Sales with pre-sales technical support during technical meetings; Create and review application-based documentation (drawings, specifications, electrical layout, presentations) enabling AE colleagues and Sales to secure the business; Provide product and application-based training to the Sales community; Support WT activities and factory visits when needed; Ensure compliance with International Trade Compliance Regulation. What makes you successful? Bring your passion and expertise with: Engineering background or equivalent education with proven field experience; 6 years of professional experience within the DataCenter industry or similar; Excellent knowledge of Data Center High Density trends and related thermal management complexities; Excellent knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier levels and related Thermal Management infrastructure design; Fluent English written and verbal skills; Excellent IT skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Customer/Sales orientation; High focus on customer needs; The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principles & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.
