NGS Techno-Commercial Manager Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated NGS Techno-Commercial professional to join our client's team and drive the growth of our Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions across Europe. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in NGS technologies with a commercial mindset to drive business development, sales support, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of NGS platforms, applications, and workflows, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The NGS Techno-Commercial will work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to generate new business, support existing customers, and expand the company's footprint in the European market. Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales Support: Identify Sales Opportunities: Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities in Europe, focusing on NGS products, solutions, and services in areas such as genomics, clinical research, diagnostics, and biotechnology. Customer Engagement: Lead techno-commercial discussions with potential customers, including academic researchers, clinical laboratories, biotech firms, and diagnostic centers, to understand their needs and recommend appropriate NGS solutions. Sales Presentations & Demos: Provide technical expertise during sales presentations, product demonstrations, and meetings, showcasing NGS platforms, applications, and workflows. Effectively articulate the value proposition of the company's NGS offerings. Proposal Development: Support the creation of tailored techno-commercial proposals, including solution recommendations, technical specifications, pricing, and timelines. Collaborate with product and technical teams to ensure proposals meet customer requirements. Technical Clarifications: Act as the technical expert during the sales process, addressing any customer queries and providing insights on NGS technologies, instruments, and applications. Technical Support & Customer Relationships: Pre-Sales Support: Provide pre-sales technical support to customers by helping them understand product features, performance, and applications. Offer technical advice on experimental design and data analysis. Post-Sales Support: Assist with post-sales activities, including system installation, troubleshooting, and customer training. Ensure customers receive the necessary technical support for the successful implementation and use of NGS systems. Customer Training: Deliver training sessions to customers, both remotely and on-site, on how to use NGS platforms, reagents, and software tools. Ensure customers are fully equipped to maximize the performance of their NGS systems. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers across Europe, ensuring satisfaction with both products and services. Act as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial inquiries. Distributor Management: Distributor Selection Market Research Onboarding and Training Performance Monitoring Incentive Programs and Motivation Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination Legal and Contractual Framework Market Feedback and Adaptation Exit Strategy and Transition KOL Engagement: Identification of KOLs: This involves identifying the right KOLs who have influence over the target audience. These could be industry leaders, experts, or people with high credibility in specific sectors. Engagement Methods: Brands can engage KOLs through a variety of methods, such as sponsored content, product reviews, co-hosting events or webinars, brand ambassadorship, and social media collaborations. Authenticity: The key to successful KOL engagement is authenticity. Audiences trust KOLs because they believe their opinions are honest and informed. Content Creation: KOLs are often responsible for creating the content that promotes the brand. The content should be aligned with both the KOL's style and the brand's message. Measurement of Success: Engagement with KOLs needs to be tracked and measured, including monitoring social media interactions, website traffic, sales conversions, and brand sentiment. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, product management, and technical support, to ensure alignment of commercial and technical strategies and seamless delivery of solutions. Feedback Loop: Gather customer feedback on product performance, identify potential improvements or innovations, and communicate this information to the product development and engineering teams. Sales Enablement: Assist with the creation of marketing materials, sales collateral, and technical documentation to support the sales process and customer engagement. Scientific Engagement for Publishing: Collaboration in Research Design and Implementation: Health providers contribute to data collection, ensuring it reflects actual clinical settings, and help interpret results in a context that is applicable to practice. Data Sharing and Analysis: Collaborating with researchers allows for better data analysis, often leading to more robust results. Reporting & Documentation: Sales & Activity Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales progress, customer feedback, and market trends to the sales and management teams. Use CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and account activity. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, technical support requests, and sales activities. Key Skills & Competencies: Technical Expertise in NGS: Strong understanding of NGS technologies, platforms, workflows, sequencing methods, bioinformatics tools, and applications in genomics, clinical research, diagnostics, and more. Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify customer needs and develop compelling techno-commercial solutions. Customer-Centric: Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, understand their requirements, and deliver solutions that add value. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional European languages such as German, French, Spanish are a plus). Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues and develop tailored solutions for customers. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across teams to achieve business objectives. Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously. Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Europe for customer meetings, product demos, training sessions, and industry events. Qualifications: Education: A Master's degree or Ph. D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a techno-commercial role within the life sciences, genomics, or diagnostic industries, with specific experience in NGS technology. Languages: Proficiency in English is essential; fluency in additional European languages (French, German, Spanish) is a plus. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with NGS platforms and technologies, bioinformatics tools, sequencing applications, and associated software. Travel: Ability to travel within Europe for customer engagement, product demos, and industry events. Work Environment: Full-time, flexible working hours with the possibility of remote work.
