Technical Service Rep, Lead
This position reports the Technical and Training Manager Italy & Special Segments NBM.
It consists in being the operation technician and responsible of PPG technical service supplied to a prestigious car maker based in Sant 'Agata Bolognese.
**Main missions are**:
- Guarantees the daily technical service respecting at 100% the service parameters.
- Strongly works with the customer painting room management team supporting the preparation of any PPG product needed to respect the customer production plan.
- Ensures that all PPG products respect the technical specifications to be qualitatively suitable to achieve the customer standards.
- Works with the customer technical team about the commissioning of new colors or new products.
Moreover, supports the industrialization of PPG products applied on new car models.
- Draws up daily technical reports about the painting activities performed with PPG products and shares formally it with the customer and PPG directional team.
- Works with the customer developing a clear and achievable action plan to support the customer goals about production KPI (new color implementation, final quality)
- Actively communicates with the PPG Refinish and PPG OEM technical team in case of products improvements or new products development.
- Manages the PPG materials stock availability to ensure the customer production plan.
- Strongly work with the customer and PPG Color Styling Department to develop new colors that satisfy the customer requirements.
- Supports the customer to develop car customization systems (ex: stipes, emblems, fading effects, etc. . ) using PPG products.
- Manages the technical training activities for the paint shop operators about manual rework methodologies with PPG products.
**Required skill
- Degree in chemistry or engineering.
- Paint chemistry expert.
- High technical skills and appetite.
- Experiences in color formulation and adjustment.
- High sense of teamwork, in particular with the customer team.
- Customer oriented, good vision of market needs
- Reactivity, capacity to move fast and take decision in order to satisfy customers
- Capacity to analyze, rigor and synthesis sense.
- Capacity to prepare, write and present orally.
- Get organized, manage priorities, autonomous.
- Excellent communication and relationship
- English mandatory: Active participation in customer meetings; active communication with PPG EMEA, Technical Service and R&D team (Refinish and OEM).
- Computer/software skills (BYK - mac i, BYK Smart Chart, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Work at 100% in customer site.
Availability to work in the weekend with just 48 hours' notice.
- Live within 70 km from the workplace.
