Technical Services Manager- Reinforcement Materials
Your Role at Cabot:
Technical Services Manager is responsible to oversee Customer Technical Activities; Understand/uncover customer/market needs and support product innovation and differentiation; Be the focal point inside Cabot organization in terms of "Product Performance in RM Application".
Reinforcement Materials business is global leader in reinforcing agents for high performance tires and specialized industrial rubber products.
Our portfolio includes carbon black products specifically designed for tires as well as automotive and non-automotive industrial rubber products.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Be the Technical Interface for customers in terms of:
- Coordinate and manage Product approvals (in line with business targets and account plans)
- Define/agree product specifications able to meet customer's performance requirements in line with manufacturing capability
- Manage the discussion/solution of quality/performance related complaints
- Handling of customer quality agreements
Maintain Cabot Technical leadership position in the market by:
- Develop and expand relationships with the technical community at all levels at our customers
- Understanding market trends (Technical, regulatory, sustainability related, etc.
)
- Assuring that Customer technical needs are properly investigated and managed
- Benchmarking competitive products and activities
- Participating to rubber exhibition and present technical papers in line with Business objectives
- Cooperating with MarCom in Product Literature preparation (PDS, Application Studies, etc)
- Participate, as needed, to Plant Quality Meeting to review discuss product performance complaint
- Train different part of Cabot organization (Shared Service, Sales colleagues, Manufacturing, etc) on how carbon black properties impact performance in rubber

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's/University degree in technical field.
- Requires 5+ years experience, including prior leadership experience.
- Language skills, good English and Italian and preferable Spanish
