The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is based in Naples or Genoa, Italy. MissionTechnical Standard Management, coordination and implementation of technical activities for corporate requests on Lumada, Monozukuri, Ochibohiroi, Quality Control and Sustainability, EcodesignAccountabilitiesEnsure the scouting and monitoring of the Standardization and Regulation activities regarding Rail Control products and solutions, establishing good networking and lobbying across the sector actors, ensuring the presence of Hitachi Rail in the appropriate standardization and regulation body/working-group.
Manage external services relevant to Standard evolution. Ensure that the information about standardization and the relevant network are shared among all internal stakeholders and that proposals and actions are coordinated by periodic alignment meetings. Ensure the monitoring and reporting of new potential product standards, normative and sector "game-changers" that may impact the global and local Rail Control's product and application roadmaps. Collect and manage activities related to corporate driven initiatives on Lumada, Monozukuri, Ochibohiroi, Quality Control and Sustainability; ensure dissemination, monitoring and reporting. Analyze impact on design for sustainability.
Define, coordinate implementation and monitor the eco-design strategy. Required Skills/ KnowledgeAt least up to 5 years of experience in transportation systems and relevant technical assets, ability to understand the complexity of engineering and development activities. Significant experience in project execution and technical delivery problem solving. Experience and knowledge in Engineering Processes, Engineering tools and configuration management in complex projects. Experience in products lifecycle and standardization processes. Ability to understand, analyze and propose alternatives in technical processes and relevant tools. Attitude to drive communications and interaction in multicultural environments and to drive synergies and cooperation. Capability in strategic data analysis and orientation to innovation. Ability to work in complex projects and tasks. Willingness to travel frequently. Fluency in English. Education/QualificationsMaster degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background.
