MAX STREICHER S. p. A. is a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractor in the oil and gas sector, specializing in pipelines and plants.

Headquartered in Parma, we execute projects both in Italy and internationally.

We are looking for a Technical Systems Officer to lead our cloud migration project, working closely with an AWS Partner.

The ideal candidate has experience in backend development, workflow automation, and real-time data management.

Key Responsibilities Database & Logic Development – Translate Excel-based logic into backend workflows, optimize database schemas, and track material management.

AWS Partner Collaboration – Act as the primary contact for tasks beyond the AWS Partner's scope, providing technical specifications for databases, APIs, and workflows.

Programming & Automation – Develop backend logic, automate processes, and write scalable code in Python, C#, or Java.

Real-Time Data Management – Implement real-time updates from mobile/tablet devices and integrate QR code scanning for progress tracking.

Reporting & Documentation – Automate reports, manage file storage via Amazon S3, and maintain system documentation.

Technical Skills – Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java, strong database knowledge (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL), advanced Excel, and familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).

Experience – Background in cloud migration, replacing Excel/on-prem systems, and hands-on workflow automation.

Soft Skills – Strong analytical, collaborative, and communication skills to document logic and work with internal teams and AWS Partners.

Language Skills - fluency in English is a must, Italian is preferred.

This position is for our biorefinery construction project in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
