YOUR TEAMYou'd be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out the research. Optical Approaches to Brain Function Research Line is coordinated by Dr. Tommaso Fellin and focuses on understanding the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying sensory perception by developing new optical methods. Responsibilities:Maintain the functionality of the optical instrumentsProvide support to the development of novel optical methodologiesContribute to the assembly of optical devices based on established methodsSupport researchers and contribute to the application of optical devices for neuroscience experimentsSupport the research within potential industrial collaborationsAssistance with ordering of reagents, consumables and durablesCAD design and 3D printing of small laboratory prototypesWHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINEA Master or Bachelor degree in Physics, Engineering or a similar disciplineDocumented experience in Applied OpticsGood knowledge of the English languageAccuracy, precision, and good analytical skillsEXTRA AWESOMEStrong problem solving attitudeHigh motivation to learnSpirit of innovation and creativityGood in time and priority managementAbility to work in an international environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary and multicultural environmentCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive salary package for international standards (salary will include bonus option).
