Offer DescriptionThe goal of this postdoc research and development activity is to develop techniques and build software for applications and services related to space traffic management and space situational awareness.

The topics of the research and development will be:

Long-term orbit propagation through semi-analytical techniques. Spacecraft and debris re-entry prediction and interaction of the re-entry cloud of fragments or distribution of the uncertainty with air traffic control to define alternative routes for airplanes and air closure. Fragmentation characterisation and reconstruction in the long-term in orbital regimes beyond low Earth orbit. Support to the definition of collision risk indicators for space missions. Relevance of QualificationsConsistency of the candidate's overall profile with respect to the content of the research programme for selection.
