Technology Consultant Automation
Job Description
Sells limited number of specialized company products and or services, typically a single product or product line.
Works with Sales Account Managers when opportunities are identified.
Serves as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.
Support the Outcome-based Selling Process:
- Understand the customer's desired business outcomes
- Describe and deliver value in the specific language of the customer
- Articulate the business outcomes before offering a solution
Be a trusted technical advisor to the sales organization and channel and collaborate with the sales force in promoting the product range to existing and new customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, product selection, performance tests and/or similar activities.
Be responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within Italian Country
Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy:
- Understand business models, organization and go to market strategy, leverage where appropriate
- Provide knowledge of the industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Understand the business drivers and KPI's of the customer.
- Analyze competitive product lines, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
Deliver the message:
- Define and articulate product differentiators and values versus competition. Share Expertise
- Participate in trade shows, seminars and/or similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed
- Support market access (Distributor & Systems Integrators) when appropriate to ensure their capability in articulating the value and demonstration of RA product or technologies
- Assist Business Lead in launch of new products to the sales force and channel.
- Share insights with regional and global peers.
3 - 5 years experience preferred
