Offer Description The construction sector uses about 50% of the available raw materials; therefore, there is a huge potential for material recovery from construction and demolition waste (CDW).
The research group of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering has been working on this topic for many years, with the aim of ensuring the concrete application of the circular economy in this sector.
The aim of this project is to achieve the total recovery of CDW by implementing an innovative sorting technology that is able to separate different inert fractions.
The collaborator will carry out:
a bibliographic framework of the technologies applicable for CDW recovery and End of Waste criteria; the performance analysis of the separation technology studied; the study of the environmental aspects of recycled aggregates obtained from the separation technology investigated and used for different applications in the construction sector.
