We are looking for a Thermal Test Engineer. The resource will be part of the team that manages the preparation and execution of thermal tests (thermal balance/vacuum, thermal cycling, life test, etc. ) to be performed in CC AIT Rome Test Center and will serve as the focal point for specific programs assigned to him/her. In detail, he/she will be responsible for the following tasks: Perform pre/post-test requirements verification, support to AIV plan definition, testability requirement definition. Manage thermal hardware procurement. Support the technical office in thermal test special equipment design and procurement. Manage set-up and thermal test design, test procedures, and reporting. Support facility engineering in the resolution of anomalies related to test means. Plan and keep updated overall test operations (set-up/test/set down) in terms of activities and resources. Manage NCRs relevant to the thermal set-up and test article control. Analyze CATIA test configuration set-up drawings. Support the technical definition on proposals for bidding, R&D/competitiveness projects, and investments. Coordinate the test team. Interface with the test program. Minimum qualifications include: Mechanical Engineering Master Degree (II Level). Aerospace Engineering Master Degree (II Level). Experience in a similar job. Required skills: Good knowledge of thermal test facilities (thermal vacuum, climatic and baric chambers, cryogenic systems). Good knowledge of software control, acquisition, and post-processing. Good knowledge of thermal hardware used for testing (thermocouples, test heaters, MLI). Good knowledge of space systems and subsystems. Good knowledge of standard ECSS. Ability to work with customers and suppliers. Ability to work in a team. Strong problem-solving skills using a logical and methodical approach. Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken, is required. Availability to work in shifts, during holiday seasons, and on weekends is also necessary.
