Job Description Summary**: The operator will be involved within the production area and will be responsible for thermal spray operations on Combustors COE

**Essential Responsibilities

- The thermal spray operator must be proficient in all aspects of the coating process including masking / unmasking.

The ability to set-up and operate various forms of coating equipment and processes which include wire guns, thermal spray powder, plasma spray and high velocity oxygen fuel

- Must have sufficient knowledge to know when equipment is performing properly and have the ability to isolate equipment components and replace them

- Perform periodic minor maintenance to assure equipment is in top operating condition.

Also, be involved in development of parameters for new coatings

- Operate to required levels of quality, efficiency, and safety.

- Instruct and train others as required

- Complete all necessary paperwork, conduct some testing, and perform other related duties

- Mechanical ability and extensive exposure to job shop working environment

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- High school technical diploma with Proven experience as plasma thermal spray operator

- Read and understand blueprints, sketches and shop manuals

- knowledge of testing devices, superficial hardness tester and profilometer

- Knowledge and Experience with hand and power tools and basic machine tools and equipment such as files, grinders, etc.

- Proficient in shop math, including fractions, decimals, and proportions

- Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum amount of supervision and direct or instruct the efforts of others on appropriate metal spray practices

- Basic computer skills knowledge

- Italian fluency and English knowledge

- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

- Availability to work 3 shift and extra time / week end
