Offer Description Thermodynamic Uncertainty Relations (TUR) represent a recent achievement of paramount importance in that they determine the minimum cost in terms of energy to reduce the fluctuations (classical and quantum) associated with a physical process without memory effects (i. e.
Markovian) to a desired value.
Such non-Markovian effects, however, are a necessary ingredient in most real-world applications and quantum physical platforms.
This project aims precisely at finding TUR in this uncharted regime by exploiting collisional modelling techniques and full-counting statistics.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the topic and the techniques involved, the expected results will have a significant impact not only at a fundamental level but also for quantum applications in real industry.

n. 509/1999) or post-graduate degrees (pursuant to D. M.
n. 509/1999 and to n. 270/2004) awarded by Italian or foreign Universities recognized as equivalent.
Candidates must provide the necessary documentation to enable the evaluating board to proceed with the qualification assessment. Scientific or professional curriculum suitable for conducting the research activity. If available, Ph. D. title (Art 2- par.
1). Further specific assessable qualifications (see Art.
6): Certified experience in the following areas of research: Quantum Stochastic Thermodynamics, Open Quantum Systems Theory, collisional models, quantum batteries, non-Markovian dynamics.
