Trading, Commercial & Content Planning Manager
The Trading, Commercial & Content Planning Manager is accountable for the commercial and content planning process for the DTC business in Italy as well as for tracking and providing regular trading updates and business analysis to the Italian and EMEA DTC leadership.
This role is a pivotal part of the DTC Growth team and will provide a significant contribution in driving profitable growth in Italy with a specific focus on the analysis of the key components of the business: subscribers base, acquisition, and churn.
The role will define and continuously improve the local forecasting by understanding the market and the business dynamics based on the most recent business performance and local insights.
Areas of Responsibility: Leading all DTC main reporting and forecasting critical metrics for Italy and leading growth reviews with key collaborators.
Leading the regional Disney+ subscriber planning, including the preparation of forecasts and annual/long-range plans – i. e.
LRP, AOP, QBRs, MBRs, Latest Views (LVs).
Track, analyze trading numbers on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (sign-ups, churn, net growth, subscribers, etc. )
and provide insights to key stakeholders on short, mid and long-term opportunities and risks.
Analyze opportunities and risks to our plan, and present sensitivities to senior executives.
Understand and explain the input metrics and drivers of growth to help enhance return on investment.
Prepare weekly action plans to improve sign-ups within an optimized spend and address retention.
Prepare presentations required by senior management and EMEA leadership teams regarding Disney+ planning and trading.
Model and build cases, including evaluating and analyzing the impacts on profitable subscriber growth, while collaborating closely with local Growth managers.
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required: At least 3-5 years of significant work experience in a similar highly data-driven role (e. g.
Finance, Marketing Analytics, Commercial Planning) within a high-growth DTC subscription business or customer-focused companies.
Strong data analysis skills with experience in building business models.
Key Competencies Required: Extensive experience in digital commerce, with a consistent track record in delivering commercial and trading analysis and reports.
Excellent analytical skills, able to understand, develop, and improve sophisticated financial modeling and planning infrastructures.
Strong business understanding, allowing to help develop, quantify, and articulate strategies and tactics that drive growth.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Italian and English, coupled with the ability to synthesize detailed information into succinct and actionable recommendations in presentations for our senior executives.
Strong organizational skills and a structured working method.
A strong work ethic and able to prioritize and problem solve issues when they arise.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge is required; Microsoft Office skills are preferred, and Power BI/Tableau desired skills.
