Are you ready to join us on our mission? If so, please read further The Role We are now looking for a Trade Operations Specialist to join our team in Milano, Italy. In this role you will be responsible for the following: Ensure proper execution of contracts and the vessels assigned, including documentation process from contract to final invoice and other related documents. Act as liaison with traders, brokers, port agents at origin and destinations, supervision companies, internal and external clients to ensure the smooth flow of information and execution between departments. Continuously follow up the status of the vessels and operations/tasks assigned. Timely issuance of shipping documents assigned to operations (i. e. , BLs, COO/EUR1/T2L, Official Sanitary certificates, etc. ) Documents distribution (issuance and delivery on time) for ensuring a presentation and cash cycle in accordance with the required TATs. Working closely with customers, suppliers, vendors & internal stakeholders to ensure timely & efficient logistics. Manage relationships with our 3rd party service providers including warehouse/tank operators, freight forwarders & customs- supervision and port agents. Create & update the standard operating procedures according to the latest business requirements and ensure our partners adhere to them. Monitoring and administrating accounts payables and receivables. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety procedures and regulations. The role will be reporting to the Operations Manager South East Europe, located in Milan, Italy. Qualifications Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent in Economics/Agriculture/Supply Chain 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of supply chain processes and the related documentation Experience in vegetable oil and trading practice like FOSFA, NOFOTA, GAFTA contracts Knowledge of import and export procedures Understanding of charter parties, laytime calculation and shipping models. Proficient with MS Office software and ERP software Excellent knowledge of English Excellent Communication skills: ability to communicate professionally, verbally and in writing In control of all activities and ability to react quickly in communication between different parties Ability to adapt and work on a wider scope of tasks and challenges Personality Proactive and looking for areas for improvement Humble approach, hands-on and curious Analytical/statistical skills Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment with a keen sense of priorities Need to fit within a small, dedicated and committed team Self-starter. Ability to learn with creativity/imagination Focus, commitment, determination Ability to take decisions independently.
