For important multinational customer company OEM in the automotive sector we are looking for Central Outbound Transport Specialist (Ocean market):

Carrier management is a division of transportation that enables businesses to monitor and manage carrier performance through carrier scorecards, contract condition and claims management.

The role represents a critical function to continuously improve the service levels, capacities, and costs of the EU Transportation to ensure efficient pick-up and delivery process from Supplier till Manufacturing Plants.

Carrier Management Specialist is knowledgeable of main inbound transport process and rules for main transport mode (on road, ocean and air freight, intermodal )

Essential Job Functions:

Air & Ocean Carrier Performance and Continuous Improvement

- Track existing metrics to detect & remove defects

- Carrier performance management (e. g.

on-time truck performance)

- Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, development of SOPs

- Analyze existing trucking versus required capacity, especially to support peak

- Project support ensuring Company requirements are communicated & executed by Carriers and Logistic Operators Relationship

- Develop relationships with Carriers and Provider that facilitate communication and visibility across Company network.

- Coordinate system fixing, changing between process customer and ICT Department.

- Data analysis, KPI and dashboard definition

- Support operative training both for plant employee and central staff.

Degree in Logistic, Manufacturing, Business, or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-3 years of experience in transport logistic operations, carrier management, or experience in logistic provider.

Personal / Technical skills

- Understanding of inbound and outbound transport process and rules

- Knowledge of main KPI for transport performance and cost.

- Knowledge of main KPI related to External Logistic Provider performance.

- Be able to communicate and present information effectively with all levels inside and outside of the organization.

- Ability to work in a team environment and to work in a fast paced, multicultural work environment.

- Ability to multitask, manage diversity, and facilitate problem solving and resolution.

Computer/Software:

- Must be proficient in MS Excel - Macro code knowledge is a strong plus

- OTM or others TMS (transport management system) - preferred

- Project 44 or other tracking platform - preferred

Working location:

Italy - Turin

Travel:

Occasionally travel in Europe or others region for short period.

Can speak and write fluent technical English.

Italian or another EU language preferred
