Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with ManTech!ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented Transportation and HAZMAT Specialist to join our vehicle sustainment team.

The selected candidate will provide logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist more senior positions and/or perform functional duties under their oversight. Plan, direct, or coordinate transportation, storage, or distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations. Anticipate transportation problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors. Develop, administer, and oversee the implementation of site environmental, safety and occupational health programs. Communicate in both verbal and written dialog while conducting daily business with vendors and other organizations. Determine logistic support sequences and time-phasing. Analyze information to solve ongoing problems. Work in a team environment with independent assignments. Provide leadership to a team including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, and checking on quality and work progress. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:Seven (7) years of experience and a HS Diploma. Experience in operating material handling equipment.

Knowledge of industrial safety requirements; Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and personal safety equipment use. Fundamental knowledge of Import, Export, and ITAR Compliance. HAZMAT certified for declaring and transporting Dangerous Goods. Must have proof of completed training in the Army Training and Requirements Resource System (ATRRS) OR Department of the Air Force Learning Record (DAFLR). Experience in warehousing operations. Experience in receipt, accountability, and inventory of equipment in a technical field or military environment. Knowledge of shipping forms. Proficient in MS Office, MS Outlook, Excel and common software application and other office equipment. Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening. Must possess a valid Driver's License for the location in which the work will be performed. High School Diploma or GED. Desired Qualifications:Fundamental knowledge of planning, coordinating, and transporting cargo within the European Union (EU). TC-AIMS II certified for coordinating the transport of U. S. Department of Defense cargo. Clearance Requirements:Must have an active Secret clearance. Physical Requirements:Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel. Must be able to push, pull, and reach. Must be able to work in high noise areas. Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts. Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
