You will serve as a TRAVEL TECHNICIAN in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of COMMANDER U. S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa, Naples, Italy. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:

Knowledge of various federal travel regulations. Experience should include an environment with regular application of these regulations and other organizational travel policy and practices. Experience with an automated or web-based government travel systems such as the Defense Travel System. Ability to maintain internal control procedures (audits) as applicable to the travel section. This may include sustainment of metrics or reports that illustrate anomalies in travel payments, in/out-processing procedures or standard operating procedures. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e. g. , professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Civilian Component in a host nation of any person who holds dual citizenship of the U. S. and the host nation. For example: A person who holds both Italian and U. S. citizenship may not be employed in the U. S. Civilian Component in Italy; however, that person is not prohibited by the NATO Status of Forces Agreement from employment in the U. S. civilian Component in another NATO host nation of which (s)he does not hold citizenship.
