Job Title: Treasury Analyst (Investment Management) Location: Rome, Italy Organizational Setting The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is an international financial institution and a specialized United Nations agency dedicated to eradicating rural poverty and hunger. It finances programs and projects that increase agricultural productivity and raise rural incomes. Position Specific: The Treasury Analyst (Investment Management) will work under the overall strategic guidance of the Director & Treasurer, and direct supervision of the Senior Treasury Officer. The incumbent will be committed to the delivery of assigned objectives and keep abreast of related industry developments. Key Functions and Results Treasury Business Partner: The Finance Analyst (Treasury) is a credible partner to the client offices served and supports the Fund's finance strategy. Financial Management: The incumbent establishes expertise in the UN's financial principles, policies, and regulations. Responsibilities include: Reviewing and processing accounting transactions; Analyzing financial reports; Monitoring financial performance; Managing non-complex loans and grants portfolios; Analyzing and trading individual securities. Agent of Change: The Finance Analyst proactively serves as a role model for transformation. Managerial Functions: Accountable for integrity and transparency in the personal use of assigned resources. Working Relationships The Finance Analyst will work closely with colleagues within IFAD's Financial Operations Department and liaise with Treasury staff across all functional teams. Job Profile Requirements Education: An advanced university degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: At least two (2) years of professional experience in investment management and trading operations; Hands-on experience with financial trading platforms; Experience in trading financial instruments. Languages: Required: English (4 - Excellent); Desirable: French, Spanish, or Arabic (3 - Good). Skills: Knowledge of capital markets instruments; Financial data integrity and systems; Liquidity management; Risk & compliance knowledge.
