Responsibilities and practice The Naples office of Dentons Cohen & Grigsby is seeking a mid-level or senior-level associate with excellent experience and academic credentials to join our Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice.
Expected responsibilities include: Drafting a broad range of estate planning documents including wills, trust agreements and related instruments Direct and frequent client interaction Advising individuals and families on trust structures and wealth transfer tax strategies Designing business succession strategies Counseling fiduciaries in the administration of estates and trusts Preparing and reviewing federal estate, gift and fiduciary income tax returns General estate, trust and tax-related research and writing Supporting our litigation practice in matters relating to wills, trusts, and fiduciary administration This is a special opportunity to join a highly seasoned, sophisticated Estates practice and learn directly from accomplished, experienced practitioners.

Position requirements Personal skills/attributes Is conscientious and responsive, with a proven attention to detail while working under deadlines Embraces teamwork and collaboration but can take initiative and work independently Is ambitious and possesses strong desire to maximize one's potential Exhibits leadership and motivates others Is dedicated, with a record of academic and professional success Has excellent written communication and drafting skills and ability to produce concise and effective written work product Possesses strong analytical skills and thinks strategically Welcomes opportunities for client interaction and has excellent interpersonal skills Technical skills At least 4 years of trusts and estates experience is required.
Higher levels of experience are also valued and will be considered.
