Entertain contacts with brokers and clients and sourcing of suitable business Triage new submissions; find opportunities to position Corporate Solutions on a programme at the earliest possible stage Underwrite the business; assessing the risk, coverage, terms and conditions; rate the business within the rating tool landscape Communicate proactively, timely and with transparency with clients and brokers to set the foundation for a positive outcome Underwrite the business within the guideline's context efficiently and optimally Negotiate with clients and brokers in cooperation with the branch manager or the distribution manager Interaction with other parties. Regular contact with brokers and clients Promotes positive interaction and collaboration with stakeholders, such as distribution managers, risk engineers, claims, contracts services, actuarial services, products underwriters, underwriter assistants etc. About the Team The role is in the Engineering & Construction department, within the Property and Specialty underwriting team Italy in Corporate Solution and is located in Milan. You will be part of a diverse, energetic and dynamic team made up by 4 colleagues with different levels of seniority and background, passionate about the job and eager to teach and mentor. About You Completed University degree in engineering 3 years of experience in the Italian direct property insurance market, underwriting medium to large corporates Italian first language; proficient English language skills are vital Ability to assess risks, coverages, terms and conditions of an insurance placement Proficiency in the use of underwriting tools and IT applications Flair for numbers and orders of magnitudes and the ability to deal with complexity and sometimes incomplete information Comfortable in building relationships with clients and brokers, providing proven communication, presentation and negotiating skills About Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Swiss Re is one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer.
