Location This position is located at Galleria Passarella 1, Milano, 20121 Italy Role Summary The main objective of this role is to support the store management team in creating a store environment that promotes creativity, employee development, and the VIBE philosophy. Support the "Peers Training Peers" philosophy of Urban Outfitters. What You'll Be Doing People: Ability to recruit, motivate, develop, and lead a team Manage performance development aspects within the department team (Performance reviews, Individual development plans, Coaching and Counseling, and disciplinary actions) Recognize and develop talented individuals for advancement and growth within the organization Support company standards and serve as a positive role model for others Leadership and Communication: Lead by inspiring, motivating, and encouraging teamwork Conduct productive daily meetings to ensure goals are met Effectively delegate projects while allowing others the creativity to succeed in making their own decisions Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal Environment Management: Oversee all levels of customer service by defining daily objectives and expectations to create a positive store environment Exhibit excellent presence on the floor by training and instructing the store team on customer service, standards, product placement, and time management Achieve average results in the company's mystery shops while adhering to the company's customer service standards Operations: Execute all store operational procedures accurately and timely, in accordance with all company policies and procedures Achieve store loss prevention goals by supervising adherence to loss prevention practices Contribute to compliance with company health and safety regulations at all times to protect employees and customers from incidents and inconveniences Merchandising & Display: Manage aspects of the assigned department in collaboration with the Department Manager (if applicable) or the Visual Merchandising Manager regarding: training, shipment placement, markdowns, transfers, merchandising, and store standards Understand and interpret current fashion trends in local markets to generate creative solutions Take an active role in ensuring that department floor sets are well organized and appropriately scheduled Business Awareness: Maximize department sales through analytical and creative management of merchandise, from receipt to sale Utilize company reports to respond to trends and drive business Stay updated on current trends and have a solid understanding of the customer profile by keeping abreast of external influences, such as media and the local community Manage inventory levels appropriately (considering the store environment) through understanding relevant reports and market trends Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to achieve and exceed store goals What You'll Need Experience in a managerial role in a fast-paced, high-volume fashion retail environment Demonstrate strong operational skills An understanding of Urban Outfitters' culture and its appeal to the local market Ability to drive sales through excellent service, strong visual presentation, and a full understanding of the business The Perks Equal Opportunity Statement URBN is an Equal Opportunities Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
