Nouscom is a private clinical stage immuno-oncology company developing next-generation, off-the-shelf and personalized cancer vaccines.

Our proprietary viral vector platform has the capacity to encode for large payloads of neoantigens or other immunomodulators and is clinically demonstrated to safely and potently harness the power of the immune system.

We are seeking a Scientist to join our Vector Construction Team.

The resource will contribute to the development of molecular and cellular techniques for the generation and characterization of viral vaccines.

Purpose of the position: Fast production of Adenoviral and MVA vectors for personalized genetic vaccines program.

Continuous improvement of existing protocols for accelerated production of Adenoviral and MVA vectors.

Assays development.

Responsibilities: Design and ordering of synthetic DNA sequences Generation of synthetic transgenes via assembly of DNA fragments Quality control of synthetic transgenes and cloned vectors Generation and characterization of viral vectors based on Adenoviruses or Modified Vaccinia Ankara virus in pre-clinical and clinical setting Improvement and automation of existing protocols for generation and characterization of synthetic transgenes and viral vectors Maintaining accurate records of the experiments performed, analyze and present the data generated.

Job Requirements: Relevant Master Degree, preferably PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical science and related fields with at least 3+ years of relevant research experience Knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, Q-PCR, Digital PCR, DNA cloning, DNA sequencing, Western Blot) Experience in cell culture handling and manipulation Preferred: use of vector design software (e. g: SnapGene) Preferred: Knowledge and use of Lab Automation instruments (e. g: Liquid Handler; Agilent Tapestation, Fragment Analyzer) Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Flexibility and resourcefulness.

Availability to work in the weekend when necessary (for specific company projects) Good knowledge of spoken and written English Use of the Microsoft office package (Word, Excel, Power Point) Other duties as assigned The position is based in Rome and the contract will be for a fixed-term.
