Under the authority of the Vega Programmes Manager (STS-PV), you play a pivotal role in supporting the Vega Programmes Manager in the programmatic coordination of the various Vega projects ensuring alignment across all relevant activities, facilitating communication, and promoting efficiency and effectiveness in achieving Vega programmes objectives. DutiesYour tasks and responsibilities will include:Supporting the planning, organisation, and coordination of Vega-C programme activities;Drafting and maintenance of key Vega-C programmatic documents;Organising and supporting workshops and other events related to the Vega-C programme;Collecting and harmonising the Vega Programmes team inputs for documents to be submitted to the high-level boards (e. g.
STS Programme Board, AC/IPC);Ensuring coherence and synergy among different projects within the Vega programmes by monitoring interdependencies;Developing and maintaining an implementation schedule for the Vega programmes including all projects;Collaborating with project teams to address technical challenges and ensure adherence to programme guidelines;Supporting the development and dissemination of tools, templates and resources to streamline programmatic implementation;Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of programme activities, including meeting minutes, reports and correspondence;Supporting the Vega Programmes Manager in preparing presentations, briefs, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Technical competenciesUnderstanding and practical application of project management principles, methodologies, and tools; Expertise in Cost and Schedule Management; Knowledge of ESA's development, verification and procurement processes; Interdisciplinary Technical Knowledge; Familiarity with space system lifecycle development processes and relevant standards; Effective writing skills for official documents; Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably in a programme management setting. Note that ESA is in the process of transitioning to a Matrix setup, which could lead to organisational changes affecting this position.
