In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a Vehicle Controls Specialist based in Maranello (Italy) and you will work within the Vehicle Dynamics Department.
We are looking for a passionate person who likes to challenge themselves by researching the optimization of vehicle performance through control systems by first asking why, then thinking about the how (requirements) and finally achieving it in an active way i. e.
by implementing, testing and calibrating the electronic control systems of vehicle dynamics.
In the team, you will be responsible for the following activities: Development and validation of control strategies for vehicle dynamic control systems, both virtual and testing Calibration of vehicle dynamic control systems strategies, both virtual and testing Definition of hw and sw requirements for impacted system and related components In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
You will have gained at least 3 years' dedicated experience on vehicle controls systems.
Knowledge of the vehicle and more specifically of major control systems is required for the role. Knowledge of Matlab Simulink, communication buses, data analysis tools and the main diagnostic tools for electronic control units are important to handle the activities and responsibilities of the role. A willingness to travel to major test circuits or to suppliers is required for the role.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role.
It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities. Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage.
