We are looking for an engineer skilled in physics-based modeling and simulation to join our Business Development Teams, reporting directly to the Head of Business Development. In this role, the Vertiport Modeling and Simulation Specialist will use simulation software to model physical features and operations of vertiport infrastructures or vertiport networks, calculating both economic and technical KPIs that can support investment decisions and the definition of vertiport operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: -        Understand the development processes and engineering challenges related to Innovative Air Mobility, eVTOLs, and Vertiports;

-        Collaborate with the Operations and Business Development Teams to define vertiport modeling and simulation;

-        Conceive, prototype, and evaluate potential solution strategies for vertiport operations and vertiport networks;

-        Understand and implement the main economic and technical KPIs for vertiports infrastructures and operations;

-        Prepare technical and economic documents with the results obtained from the simulations to support strategic and investment decisions;

-        Work with technology and regulatory teams to present evidence of safe and well-planned vertiport operations to civil aviation authorities.

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT WE SEARCH IN YOU: -        Master's degree in engineering, physics or mathematics;

-        From 1 to 3 years of work experience in the field of process or system simulation;

-        Knowledge of simulation software and methodologies. Knowledge of "Catia Magic Simulation package" and "Airtop (Transoft)" software is considered a preferential qualification;

-        Advanced knowledge of IT systems (e. g. , Google Workspace, Google Earth) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);

-        Problem solving;

-        Fluency in both written and spoken English
