Position Overview TheVessel Manager - Offshore Market - Technical Sales Positionwill drivebusiness development and salesfor vessel retrofits and offshore services, targetingshipowners, fleet managers, chartering companies, and shipyards.
Ideal candidates will havea background in ship management (Superintendent, Vessel Manager, or Fleet Manager) and hands-on experience with drydock planning and execution.
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with abackground in superintendency and vessel management, who has successfully transitioned into aclient-focused sales role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges and requirements of offshore superintendents, enabling them to effectively assess client needs and provide tailored solutions. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and engage key decision-makers inship management, offshore operators, and shipyards.
Develop and execute asales planfocused on vessel retrofits and offshore mobilizations.
Attendindustry events(e. g. , OTC, Posidonia, Nor-Shipping) to expand GLO Marine's footprint.
Manage the fullsales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure.
Act as Account Manager, making sure we understand client needs and client is satisfied throughout the process Technical & Commercial Advisory Provide technical insights onfuel efficiency retrofits, LNG system upgrades, and FPSO conversions.
Assist clients inEPC feasibility assessmentsand cost-benefit analyses.
Ensure proposals align withIMO regulations and decarbonization trends.
Drydock & Retrofit Support Leveragedrydock experienceto advise clients on cost-effective vessel upgrades.
Assist inscheduling and executing vessel modificationsto minimize downtime.
Support shipowners inretrofit budgeting and operational logistics. Ideal Candidate Profile Background & Experience 5–10 years of experienceinship management, vessel operations, or ship repair.
Previous role asTechnical Superintendent, Fleet Superintendent, or Vessel Manager.
Experience managingdrydock projects and vessel retrofits.
Strong network inshipowners, offshore operators, and shipyards.
Knowledge ofIMO regulations, alternative fuels, and marine EPC services.
Skills & Attributes Proven sales & negotiation skillswith a track record of closing contracts.
Ability totranslate technical knowledge into commercial opportunities.
Excellent communication & presentation skillsto engage senior decision-makers.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities.
Willing to travelextensively for client meetings and industry events.
