Objective
To maintain the highest standards of customer service within the Concierge department and contribute to business success.
Acts as a true ambassador of Belmond Villa San Michele.
You will be part of the Front of House team committed to delivering the best standards of service.
As a Doorman, you are the first impression each guests will have of the Belmond Villa San Michele, your interaction will contribute greatly to the success of each guests journey therefore, you must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
**Responsibilities**:
- To ensure all key service standards are kept to the highest level delivered with consistency and Belmond standards are implemented to the highest level
- To be familiar with all hotel policies and department SOP, ensuring to be informed and fully conversant with all changes and additions.
- To project an impeccable appearance and ensure the neat and tidy appearance all time.
Take pride in wearing and maintaining uniform.
- To ensure all equipment is accounted for and is in good working order.
- To pay attention to VIP, long-standing guests and regular guests and inform the front office of any requirements that can be added into their guest history.
- To project and always maintain the image of the highest standards within and outside the hotel.
- To advise the Concierge and Duty Manager of all guest's comments.
- To demonstrate commanding control over the Front Entrance area and manage the flow of traffic and the safe arrival & departure of guests and luggage to and from the hotel.
- To assist guests with any requests either for concierge or front desk
- Be familiar with hotels, facilities and the local area.
- Give directions to guests, arranging taxis, communicating guest arrivals to the FO team
- Be attentive to the movement in your area with guests, together with the FO staff and Hotel Security, identify any situation that could compromise the security of the Hotel, report to the manager on duty to make the correct decisions.
- Ensure that replacement will be present at all times in case of having to leave the Front Door position
- To do the valet service, for all hotel guests (hotel and restaurant guests)
- Greet and engage with all arrival, departure and in-house guests with personal recognition.
- To give a warm welcome to guests, opening & closing vehicle doors
- Be well versed with the daily arrival and VIP guests.
- Assist in solving guest problems and concerns and always takes the opportunity to exceed customer expectations.
- Liaise with the bell service for assistance with guest luggage upon check-in and check-out.
- Is responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the working area
- Ensure that the luggage room is kept clean, tidy & orderly always.
- Always ensure a strong follow-up and detailed handover of information.
- Assists guests with information about the hotel and the local area.
- Be aware of banquet events, special promotions of hotel outlet to offer accurate information and to promote sales.
- Assists Concierge team and Front Office team as and when required
- To cover luggage shift and night shifts as/when required
- To comply with any other reasonable request.
- To escort the guests to their rooms when they check in, promoting an excellent arrival experience.
