Responsibilities**:
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Coverage and Investment Banking division (COV).
COV offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients.
Building on long-term relationships based on trust, COV offers clients the whole range of services offered by the Group, with a particular focus on investment banking and commercial banking activities.
COV provides tailor-made solutions to corporates, financial institutions, the public sector and family offices.
COV's client reach is worldwide with solid local expertise thanks to our platforms in Europe (the UK, Germany, Italy, Iberia and the CEEMEA region), the Americas and Asia.
You will be working within the Global Coverage Support team and dedicated to the support of coverage bankers in charge of relationships with large corporate clients in Italy, within the Corporate & Investment Banking department ("COV").
During your V. I. E. , your main mission will be to provide support to the Corporate & Investment Banking (COV) team of bankers in charge of the coverage of a portfolio of clients in Italy.
- Assist the FIG coverage team on a portfolio of financial institutions (i. e.
Banks, Insurers & Asset Managers) on both origination and potential execution
- Perform Economic Financial, Credit and Risk analysis on key clients and prospects
- Prepare presentations and briefing notes for client meetings and transactions execution, covering a variety of topics (e. g.
investment banking, financing alternatives, capital markets advisory, asset-liability management, treasury services and derivatives)
- Contribute to the Client Profitability monitoring by (i) contributing to the review of client profitability, both achieved and estimated, for the whole dedicated clients' portfolio ; (ii) performing the correction process in profitability systems, for NBI as well as for RWA, this includes in particular proper updates and maintenance of client reference tables in internal referential systems and in CRM systems, and any profitability-related analysis
- Conduct FIG industry research (regulatory, peer analysis, system-wide)
- Understand the impact of new regulations on financial institutions and SocGen offer (Basel, Solvency, TLAC, MiFID. . . )
- Help with internal reviews to identify business potential / cross-selling opportunities
- Monitor market trends and track client profitability
**Profile required**:
Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business/Finance or Economics
- A previous experience in Finance or Banking (e. g.
as a trainee) would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English (B2-C1)
- Good level of Italian would be an asset
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
- Good communication and presentation skills
