Visual Merchandising Manager
GENERAL ROLE The Visual Merchandising Manager will guarantee the image of the Maison in the stores and ensure that the VM is appealing and inspires emotion, and he/she will be a support to the development of sales.
Within this department, he/she will report to the Retail Merchandising Director and work closely with the store managers and Retail merchandising team.
He/she will also liaise with the subsidiary's communication department, as well as with the central team in Paris.
He/she will manage a team of 4 VM in-store (functional report) and animate the community of VM ambassadors.
The network is distributed as follow: * 11 stores in Italy: Milan, Rome, Rome Jewelry, Florence, Venice, Turin, Padova, Bologne, Naples, Porto Cervo, Capri.
* 1 store in Greece: Athens The position is based in the head office in Milan and requires travel across Italy & Greece.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 1. The Visual Merchandising Manager has a strategic and creative vision of the VM for the region.
He/she will define the calendar of VM activities such as the monthly coordination and planning of the team, implementation of VM animations in store, including product rotations and product and collection launches.
He/she will guarantee the image of the Maison in our stores * He/she will work very closely with the in-store VM to ensure the VM in store is always appealing and inspiring; * He/she will ensure that the VM guidelines of our Maison are correctly implemented in our stores and that consistent appearance is guaranteed; * He/she will share best practices with VM and sales team across the network; * He/she will make sure that new collections and new products are launched on time in all the stores and that products are well promoted; * He/she will collaborate with communication team and Retail merchandising on selecting products for the windows.
He/she will contribute to the commercial success of the region * He/she will collaborate closely with Retail Merchandising and Store Management to propose a Visual Merchandising in line with business and product strategy and to maximize the sales; * He/she will work in close collaboration with Retail Merchandising team to rotate stock, increase sell-through, animate "slow movers" and define Métier (Department) priorities; * He/she has a high level of understanding of daily challenges to adapt the VM to each store and client specificities; * He/she will share with VM and sales team business updates to adapt the VM accordingly; * He/she will participate to the buying campaigns and bring your vision and strategy in terms of assortment and VM.

The Visual Merchandising Manager has the role to manage, train and develop a team.
He/she will lead and inspire a team based in stores and develop the awareness of the role of VM among all the stakeholders.
He/she will also be the representant of the region to the central team in Paris.
He/she will manage and develop an in-store VM team & you will animate the community * He/she will lead and develop a team of in-store Visual merchandisers; * He/she will develop and maintain an extensive knowledge of products, VM guidelines and tools and share best practices; * He/she will organize the team and the planning and animate the community including in store VM and VM ambassadors.
He/she will have an influential role to reinforce a Visual Merchandising "mindset" * He/she will be responsible for fostering a "VM community" and "VM Culture" in the region; * He/she will establish the role as a central point of contact & source for inspiration among the retail network; * He/she will share a reporting of VM in the region and share best practices with the international community; * He/she will be the point of contact of Central VM team department in Paris and Product departments (Métiers).
3. The Visual Merchandising Manager has a role of project manager: you will take part of the stores openings and stores animations He/she will be a cornerstone of the development of projects and retail events thanks to your knowledge, and you vision of the space and needs per product categories.
He/she will anticipate needs in terms of zoning and product space for new projects and in-store animations * He/she will proactively suggest improvements for zoning in existing store; * He/she will provide your expertise to the Retail and Real estate departments regarding zoning and needs per product category in new stores openings; * He/she will plan the zoning and plan product selection and VM in collaboration with retail merchandising team of new stores openings; * He/she will be responsible for the planning and implementation of VM animations, including the development of scenography's in partnership with external suppliers.
He/she will manage the budget of the VM activities for the subsidiary * He/she will be responsible for the budget of VM materials and VM animations.
* In addition, he/she will also manage the annual budget preparation including control and adjustments.
PROFILE * Bachelor's and Master's degree preferably with art/design/fashion/visual merchandising and management focus; * Strong aesthetic sensibility and creative sense with an eye for details; * Understanding of business issues and commercial mindset; * Professional background: strong previous experience (at least 8 years) in a full time, multi-store VM role with complex assortments; * Excellent leadership attitude and ability to collaborate and influence others; * Coherent decision-making abilities based on analytical thinking and commercial creativity; * Strong management skills, ability to lead and motivate a team and drive performance; * Analytical skills and a particular appetite for defining strategies; * Ability to translate corporate guidelines into local market needs; * Problem solver mindset & hands-on attitude; * Strong service mindset & easy to approach; * Flexibility to travel; * Excellent IT skills; * Fluency in Italian and English.
French will be considered a strong advantage.
