OpenShift Administrator | ITALY ONLY | 14+ months Contract RED Global is delighted to be working with an internal client looking for a skilled and experienced OpenShift/VMware Specialist to join the Cloud teams and work on innovative solutions for public sector clients.

As a specialist, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and migrating complex OpenShift-based applications, driving automation, and ensuring efficient, scalable cloud-native environments. Key Responsibilities:Responsible in designing, building and migrate complex solutions based on RedHat OpenShift, ensuring optimized deployment strategies. Evaluating deployment options (on-premises vs. cloud, centralized vs. edge data centres), and responsible in design/build for DevSecOps on OpenShift, focusing on monitoring, logging, and metrics. Using cloud-native tools and services to meet application requirements as well as make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning to OpenShift, aligned with business goals. Work closely with industry teams and build reusable solutions for future needs, fostering cross-team collaboration. Acting as the primary point of contact, managing client relationships and demonstrating leadership to develop long-term opportunities. Key Requirements: Several years of proven experience in managing OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) systems, including multi-cluster installations, container hosting, and micro-service management (both stateless and persistent data). Strong knowledge of VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator and other orchestration/automation tools to deploy infrastructure through code. High experience in Linux system administration, VMware, and OpenShift systems with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying OpenShift-based architectures. Proficiency in creating configuration files and automating deployments through IaC (Git repositories); familiarity with RedHat tools, including Ansible, RH Application Runtimes, and containerization technologies (e. g. , Kubernetes, Docker). Experience implementing disaster recovery systems for OpenShift and troubleshooting containerized environments. Based close to Roma or willing to travel ½ days weekly onsiteAvailable to join ASAP.
