No Offer Description In the frame of the VolCA project, two of the main tasks are the definition of causal links between volcanism and glacial loading (WP2) and reconstruction of paleo-environment by glacial volcanology (WP3).

Inside these two general topics, a detailed petrological modeling resting on in-situ trace element and isotope data is required.

The activity to be carried out with this grant is: To develop methods of acquisition of in-situ trace element data as well as radiogenic and unconventional stable isotope data; To build up a dataset of in-situ trace element and isotope data on selected samples from Northern Victoria Land (Antarctica) and Iceland; To participate in the next Antarctic Expedition to collect samples necessary to better define glacio-volcanic successions.
