Warehouse Coordinator
Wood is recruiting for a Warehouse Coordinator to join its Projects - Process and Chemical Team, focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries.
The position will be based in Milan office, availability for assignments abroad are previewed.

- Supervising that all the personnel working in the warehouse respect the applicable HSE procedures, regarding their health and safety care Enforcing the Emergency Procedures. If necessary, communicate project safety requirements and coaching workers to build safety awareness and safety performance. Cooperate closely with the Safety Site Supervisors to ensure the proper assistance and surveillance on safety matters.
- Inspecting work areas to identify hazards and abatement measures. Determine safety training needs availing Construction Manager and Safety Superintendent to organize proper training sessions and courses.
- Ensuring all work permits, method statement and Job Safety Analysis and fulfilment of permit conditions requirements. Assure adequate daily start work meeting and toolbox for all concerned workers.
- Participating regularly in all safety assessment scheduled or dictated by circumstances.
- Establish and maintain a motivational environment including positive recognition as well as enforcement of discipline.
- Participate in incident investigations and "near-misses" to determine causes.
Field job responsibilities
- Ascertain that all people concerned understand and follow Material Management Procedure.
- Receive material from transporter and ensure that material arrival is properly organized; review with site security the procedure of truck entrance to ensure smooth flow of traffic within the site.
- Provide to unload material on arrival utilizing proper sub-contractors.
- Check that received material is complying with requirements in terms of quantity and quality.
- Store materials in allocated areas.
- Provide storage allocation plan.
- Report to Project Manager and Construction Manager, about damaged or lost material.
- Keep records up to date of all materials arrived in field, and of all materials withdrawn from warehouse in accordance with established procedures.
- Record of material orders and invoices and custom documents (if applicable)
- Record material requisition and update.
- Keep record of daily hours done by store personal.
- Prepare list of spare parts to be left to Client.
- Archive Material Certificates.
- Check that bulk material is correctly identified (following PMI system, if applicable) as per colour coding.
- Verify that material is in accordance with Certificates.
- In case of material (or part of material) ordered but not delivered, inform Construction Manager and/or HO Material Coordinator who shall take the necessary expediting actions.
- Ensure that AMUSE CON operations, related to warehouse activities, are run smoothly, and verify the proper flow of information from the HO.
- Initiate "back charges" to Vendors and prepare the required documentation for Construction Manager.
- Take care of equipment and materials preservation as per relevant procedure.
- Proven experience and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Project, Access, AMUSE etc).
- Is familiar with AMUSE environment.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Works with integrity and ethically. Upholds organizational values.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Knowledgeable of all Construction Phase Activities for both small and large projects.
- Be in possession of VCA-vol certification
