The B2B team is Glovo's last-mile logistics service for e-commerce, a huge industry that is still growing rapidly with many challenges ahead.
At Glovo, you will join a team that is working to revolutionize the industry from scratch with the main e-commerce players in any market (e. g.
Alibaba). In this role you will be responsible for setting-up and implementing our warehouse vision.
Your responsibilities will range from defining standard operating procedures, continuous improvement methodologies, fraud prevention, coordinating with a wide range of local / global teams, transportation scalability, or even defining the legal framework of operations.
You will be working closely with the Global Operations team, the B2B team, and the Local Ops teams where we operate.
**Be a part of a team where you will**:
- Be the functional owner of B2B Warehouse processes in your country.
- Own the warehouse operation KPIs (e. g.
picker cost, efficiency) and have under control the budget.
- Coordinate with HQ Data team to find optimal locations.
Implement the warehouse strategy.
- Launch and expand warehouse operations successfully in new cities.
- Build a network of transportation solutions that allow us to scale and expand operations.
- Work closely with product and technology teams to provide insights and recommendations to ensure we develop and implement reliable and scalable solutions (e. g.
picker app, warehouse management system).
- Manage an Area and a team of Warehouse managers.
- Define the best people structure and the legal framework (e. g.
in-house vs outsource).
- Identify areas of improvement and define tools and procedures with strong level of detail to guarantee snagless developments and implementations
- Create and centralize standard operating procedures to ensure quality of execution from our teams and proper training.
- Build a framework to monitor the quality system performance and prevent fraud, You'll have to establish and own the anti-fraud processes.
- Actively collaborate with your colleagues and learn from each other in a supportive environment that allows you to grow, develop and make a difference
**You have**:
- 3+ years of experience in high demanding managerial positions (logistics, operations, consulting, etc.
).
- Experience in logistics / supply chain and warehouse management is must
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques is a must.
- Results oriented, analytical and out-of-the-box mindset to re-think our processes.
- Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects with experience leading cross-functional projects and teams, driving results.
- Excellent communication, the ability to engage internal and external customers.
- Joy in building things from scratch, if something needs to get done you are comfortable figuring it out on your own and not relying on a playbook.
- Ready to get your hands dirty, because you will have to "roll up your sleeves"!
- Comfort in ambiguity, you seek adventure and an accelerated career path.
- Excellent level of Italian and English.
