We are looking for a **Warehouse Director**.

The position, based in Piacenza, is open to people of all genders (Law 903/77).

**What you'll do**:

- Lead the warehouse operation team at Italy-based distribution centre.

- Mentor, coach and provide direction to warehouse operators.

- Develop processes and procedures for all warehousing functions and implement upon completion.

- Schedule and coordinate daily workflow for the distribution center; monitor the pace and flow of products from receiving through shipping.

- Read, develop and analyse system-generated reports in order to measure, control, and guide productivity and efficiency.

- Manage a growing fleet of distribution trucks and the related routes together with our transportation organization to assure maximum efficiency.

- Provide direction to safety committee to assure a safe working environment.

- Monitor and control business-related costs.

- Track and record customer-related issues and challenges, in order to develop a strategy to overcome any internal problems.

- Develop and mentor team members in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline's core values.

- Control and improve the KPI structure in both areas.

- Control and manage the budget for warehousing and transportation.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- Required:

- Minimum of seven years' experience in warehouse/distribution center operations

- Computer literacy/Microsoft experience (MS Word, Excel.

etc.

).

- Previous supervisory experience

- Strong, communicative and team-oriented leadership skills are highly preferred

- Team player with excellent work ethic

- Self-starter with exceptional organisational and communication skills

- Fluency (writing and speaking) in Italian and English; other languages are a plus

- Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree

- Well-experienced with warehouse management systems (WMS), such as Manhattan Scale
