PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The candidate will join Saipem Drilling within the Drilling Assets Department and provide specialized technical support for the drilling BOP and well control equipment in use onboard Saipem Drilling Offshore fleet. They will be responsible for developing technical expertise to plan and manage both routine and extraordinary maintenance. Additionally, the candidate will oversee the design, production, installation, and testing phases of such equipment.
Periodic assessments will ensure the equipment complies with the latest relevant industry regulations (e. g. , DNV, ABS, API, Norsok), and the candidate will implement technical specifications for relevant upgrades as needed.
This role will require interdepartmental collaboration within the company (Operations, Onboard Personnel, Commercial, and Procurement departments) and involve travel within Italy, abroad, and offshore facilities. For specific or high-priority projects, travel assignments may extend up to six months. Flexibility and strong teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
ACTIVITIES: TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT: Provide specialized technical assistance for drilling BOP and well control equipment, including planning and overseeing routine and extraordinary maintenance activities. SUPERVISION OF EQUIPMENT LIFECYCLE: Oversee the design, production, installation, and testing phases of drilling and well control equipment. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND UPGRADES: Regularly verify equipment compliance with relevant industry standards (e. g. , DNV, ABS, API, Norsok) and implement technical specifications for necessary upgrades or modernization. INTERDEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION: Work closely with various departments, including Operations, Onboard Personnel, Commercial, and Procurement, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of equipment. ON-SITE ACTIVITIES: Undertake domestic and international travel, including offshore assignments, to provide on-site technical support and oversee project implementation, with potential durations of up to six months for critical projects. QUALIFICATION: Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering (Bachelor Degree is considered minimum requirement. Master Degree is preferable)
