We are actively seeking an experienced **Wind Operating and Maintenance Services Manager** to join our team and provide critical support to a major client in the Energy industry.
As a Wind O&M Service Manager you have the opportunity to work closely on a variety of projects, with Offshore Wind projects as the primary focus.
You will support the estimation Team with the following:
- Support O&M Estimation manager in identifying, directing and implementing business strategies for the Offshore Wind O&M services, including operational marketing, pricing, sales and customer retention strategies.
- Assist in preparation of proposals and scope development, including:
- Project cost estimates and schedules (personnel, materials, services, logistic, needed)
- O&M Package preparation and execution documentation
- Identification of potential Suppliers
- Preparation and review of supplier documentation
- Participation as required in complete electrical system design opportunities
- Involvement in offshore wind farm developments to ensure interface requirements are addressed
- Work and lead coordination of activities with other departments such as Proposal, Commercial, Maintenance Engineering and Commissioning departments and section managers for submittals, proposals, presentations, contract negotiations and related activities
- Develop, improve and manage processes, tools and/or technology implementations to increase efficiency in planning, design, and project execution
- Develop relationships with potential Partners within the Offshore Wind Sector.
- Oversee assignments and activities of personnel assigned to projects ensuring efficient and cost effective utilization of employees and company resources.
- Provide leadership, mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members
- Provide senior level technical expertise, input and evaluation on O&M projects.
- Position will work with a high degree of autonomy.
- All other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications
Main requirements:
- 3 years of experience in Wind OSS (Offshore Sub Station) Operation&Maintenance services.
- Knowledge of the main electrical systems such as Gis, Transfo, SCADA, Metering, Protection + auxiliary systems and typical of an OSS (crane, UPS, life boat, etc.
)
- Previous experience in bid and tendering activities
- Good knowledge and familiarity in using Excel
- Excellent knowledge of the Italian and English language.
- Availability for short-term trips
Additional requirements and soft skills:
- Expert experience in managing bid projects phse, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, scheduling, directly performing engineering, design team coordination, quality reviews & communication, budgeting, and client management.
- Knowledge of:
- Wind offshore substation design including layouts, plans, sections and details, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, platform cabling systems, transformers (including Main & Earthing Auxiliary transformers), switchgear, technical interfaces between offshore and onshore substations and, as required, harmonic filter(s), system studies and export / array cable interfaces and associated bills of material
- Grid Code compliance
- Protection and control design including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring
- Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.
- Proficiency with Electrical Safety Codes and IEEE / ANSI Standards
- Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills.
