The position is a permanent role. Your role and responsibilitiesAs Workshop Manager you will focus on these responsibilities:Being accountable for workshop profit and loss. Responsible for planning, leading, organising and supervising the activities fulfilling QEHS requirements and obligations. Draw and support competence development plan of the team, according to market needs and technology evolution. Support the growth of the business by increasing Customers contacts, generating, wherever possible, leads to non-buying Customers. Facilitate the study and the deployment of Continuous Improvement approach and mindset, simplifying the Workshop execution and workflows, where appropriate. Support the development of the workshop layout and way of working. Strengthen the workshop offering. Build visibility of demand and manage capacity. Manage communication across multiple stakeholders and senior leaders. Own and drive the Customer experience and measure the success. Hire and develop the team implementing robust growth and development plans. Develop competence and capacity. Deploy target setting and execution plans to achieve the targets. Ensure development support to and from other Workshops in the Region, strengthening the synergy with Parts and Field Service Organization as well as with other relevant Wärtsilä entities. The below will enable you to shine in this role:Service readiness, "hands on" mentality and Customer focus. Enthusiastic, pragmatic, proactive and constructive attitude. Proven Leadership and communication capability / experience. Experience in planning and supervising workshop activities, including QEHS related items. Cost awareness & efficiency improvement capability. Knowledge of machining / mechanical production, open to new technologies and IoT. Understanding of operations / processes in workshops, managing risks, based on continuous improvement mindset and role modelling. Good knowledge and / or experience of IT tools and systems use, looking ahead to next steps into digitalization. Fluent in English, both written and spoken, while knowledge of the Italian language would be an added value. Completed technical vocational education or equivalent experience overall marine equipment and machineries, supported by entrepreneurial attitude. Why you and us? You are valued – as your true self.
