**Location: Naples, Italy
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Italy in the Writing, English, Speech, or Communication programs.
**Required Education and Experience**:
- Master's degree in Writing, English, Speech, Communication or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Professional experience in a related field.
- Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.

**The Adjunct Faculty Role at**UMGC

Your role as an adjunct faculty member will be to:
- Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed, and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
- and project-based learning demonstrations.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
- Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.

**Hiring Range by Degree**:
Non-PhD: Step 1 $903 - Step 16 $1, 173 per credit hour
PhD: Step 1 $931 - Step 16 $1, 215 per credit hour
